Frozen Sweet Potato Fries cooked in an air fryer are easy to make, crispy, and a healthier alternative to the deep fried version. Just grab your already prepped fries from the freezer and pop them in your favorite air fryer.

Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 knife
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes approximately 450 grams
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch

Instructions

Fry Preparation

  • First, peel potatoes and cut into fry shape of choice.
  • Bring water to a bowl and submerge the fries in a spacious bowl
  • After 35-40 minutes, strain fries and submerge in ice cold water.
  • After 10 minutes, strain fried and dry them with paper towels.
  • Sprinkle a teaspoon of cornstarch on them and make sure each fry is coated
  • Store them in the freezer until you are ready to use.

Air Frying Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 370° for 5 minutes
  • In a bowl, toss fries in onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with non stick spray before laying out fries. (Remember not to over crowd the basket)
  • Once fries are in the basket, spray them with non stick spray
  • Cook for 10 minutes at 370°. After 10 minutes flip them and let them cook for another 5 minutes before plating
  • Chop!
